"Prime Minister Narendra Modi Receives Egypt's Highest State Honour, Adding to his Collection of International Awards"

In his nine years as Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has been honored with numerous international awards, highlighting his global recognition and achievements. These accolades include the Legion of Merit by the United States Government, the Ebakl Award by the Republic of Palau, and the recently conferred 'Order of the Nile' from Egypt, the highest state honor of the country. This prestigious recognition from Egypt marks the 13th highest state honor bestowed upon Prime Minister Modi by various nations worldwide. 


Here is a list of some notable international awards received by Prime Minister Modi:


1. Companion of the Order of Logohu: Papua New Guinea honored Prime Minister Modi with this highest civilian award, recognizing his efforts in promoting unity among Pacific Island countries and advocating for the Global South.


2. Ebakl Award by the Republic of Palau: President Surangel S. Whipps, Jr. of the Republic of Palau presented PM Modi with the Ebakl Award during his visit to Papua New Guinea.


3. Companion of the Order of Fiji: In May 2023, PM Modi was bestowed with the highest honor of Fiji, acknowledging his global leadership.


4. Order of the Druk Gyalpo: Bhutan awarded PM Modi with its highest civilian decoration, the Order of the Druk Gyalpo, in December 2021.


5. Legion of Merit by the US Government: During his visit to the United States in 2020, Prime Minister Modi received the Legion of Merit from the US Armed Forces for his exceptional services and achievements.


6. King Hamad Order of the Renaissance: Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa conferred the King Hamad Order of the Renaissance on PM Modi in 2019, a prestigious honor in the Gulf country.


7. Order of the Distinguished Rule of Nishan Izzuddin: In the same year, PM Modi was awarded the highest honor of Maldives, the Order of the Distinguished Rule of Nishan Izzuddin, reserved for foreign dignitaries.


8. Order of St. Andrew Award: Russia honored Prime Minister Modi with its highest civilian award, the Order of St. Andrew, in 2019.


9. Order of Zayed Award: The United Arab Emirates awarded PM Modi its highest civilian honor, the Order of Zayed, also in 2019.


10. Grand Collar of the State of Palestine Award: PM Modi received the highest honor of Palestine, the Grand Collar of the State of Palestine Award, in 2018.


11. State Order of Ghazi Amir Amanullah Khan: Afghanistan bestowed its highest civilian honor on PM Modi in 2016.


12. Order of Abdulaziz Al Saud: Prime Minister Modi was also recognized with the highest honor in Saudi Arabia, which is awarded to non-Muslim dignitaries.


Additionally, Prime Minister Modi has received honors from various organizations and foundations, such as the Global Energy and Environment Leadership Award by the Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA) for his commitment to global energy and environmental leadership. 

He was also awarded the Global Goalkeeper Award by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in 2019 for his remarkable efforts in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission). 

Moreover, he received the Champions of The Earth Award, the highest environmental honor by the United Nations in 2018, and the Seoul Peace Prize in the same year for his contributions to world peace and reconciliation.


These international awards and honors not only recognize Prime Minister Modi's accomplishments but also reflect India's growing prominence on the global stage.
